Next, four cushion coat layers are applied to enhance shock absorption and provide a softer playing surface. The surface is then finished with two acrylic color coat layers, which provide the final color, texture, and slip resistance. Bitumen provides a flexible and durable foundation that helps the court surface withstand heavy usage, temperature changes, and outdoor environmental conditions. The system begins with a properly prepared bitumen/asphalt base, which acts as the structural support for the entire flooring system.
On top of the base, an acrylic resurfacer layer is applied to seal surface pores and create a smooth, even substrate for the upper coatings. This layer improves bonding and enhances the overall durability of the system. After resurfacing, four cushion coat layers are installed to provide excellent shock absorption and a softer playing surface. These cushion layers reduce stress on players’ joints, improve comfort during gameplay, and help maintain consistent ball bounce.
The system is completed with two acrylic color coat layers, which provide the final court color, texture, and slip resistance.
